Though they didn’t work on the console ports, original Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire developer Obsidian is currently working on upcoming RPG Avowed. A specific reason hasn’t been given at the time of writing for the cancellation of the sequel. At the time, Versus Evil said the team had “reached a limit on what we can do” in “regards to the limitations of the hardware”. The news comes a year after the publisher stopped releasing patches for the first game. However, though the Xbox and PlayStation versions would arrive in 2020, the Nintendo Switch version suffered multiple delays. The RPG had originally planned to arrive in 2019 when it was first announced the game would come to consoles. An employee responded to a query with the following “Hey there! Unfortunately, after much deliberation, we have decided not to move forward with Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire for the Nintendo Switch.”

The game features procedurally generated levels and allows players to team up with up to two other players to take on over 20 epic bosses and numerous enemies. Remnant: From the Ashes is a thrilling co-op shooter game with souls-inspired gameplay that was first released in 2019 for PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. In the DLC Subject 2923 players will explore the enigma that began in the Dream Program. Players can pick up the title on Switch for $39.99 USD complete with DLC, Swamps of Corsus and Subject 2923 included. Use a variety of weapons and abilities to tackle its dangerous environments as well as its inhabitants.
